Make Kent Wild Garden Tour!

Saturday, June 26, 2021, 11am – 1:30pm

Walls / Crain-to-Main Neighborhood

Our yards can be places to grow food and can provide important habitat for insects, birds, and humans! You are invited to see how some of your neighbors are “wilding” their yards in ways that can help the planet!

  • Start at either Walls School (900 Doramor St.) or the Kent Board of Education (321 N. Depeyster St.) to pick up a map between 11:00am and 1:00pm at the information booth(s).
  • “Wild Your Yard” signs, pollinator seeds and other information will also be available at the booths.
  • Walk (a 3 mile loop) or drive (3 central parking locations with 1 mile total of walking) to tour the gardens and ask questions of the gardeners. There will be places to refill your water bottle along the way.

Featured Gardens Include:

  • Pollinator Pockets
  • Food Not Lawns
  • Fruit and Nut Trees
  • Urban Chickens
  • Edible Landscapes
  • Ponds
  • Food Forests
